Knackered

Fatigue becomes my stubborn donkey, and tasks, the relentless rodeo. Armed with a whip of determination, saddle up on your sleepy steed for a wild ride through the to-do corral.

A visual expression of burnout, working from sun up to sun down. According to philosopher and cultural critic, Slavoj Žižek, there are two opposed figures that prevail in our daily lives: those who are overworked to exhaustion (factory workers, medical stuff, caretakers, etc.) and those who work mostly in a bubble (for themselves, remotely, from home, etc.)

When you’re not the former it can sometimes feel ridiculous to “feel exhausted.” Byung-Chul Han’s “The Burnout Society” sheds light on why and how a self-exploitive workforce has formed in neoliberal societies, becoming “master and slave in one.”
